Tom Wallace wrote an excellent book on implementing MRPII entitled 'MRPII
: Making It Happen' -
the implementers' guide to success with Manufacturing Resource Planning.
ISBN 0-939246-20-1.
Published by the Oliver Wight Companies. This was the original guide to
implementing MRPII,
and has been used in many MRPII projects as a reference book to guide success.
It includes
the Proven Path, developed by the Ollie Wight Companies, which is an outline
implementation path
for any MRPII project. Tom has now added to this, with a book about Sales
& Operations Planning.
It is structured by first describing the S&OP process, and then outlining
an implementation path
that should be followed. This is the guide that any company should use in
implementing
Sales & Operations Planning. We provide a copy of this book to all
participants
on our Sales & Operations Planning courses.
